We sold our house!

I just had to get that out there! Well, we are under contract, less than 30 days after we put it up for sale. Thank God! We had it for sale last year for 6 months without getting an offer. It just takes the right person.

Now we need to find somewhere to live. We are thinking about building instead of buying. DH knows a few guys at his work that have built their own houses (as in they were the contractor). Any tips?

Congratulations that must be a relief

At least in my town, people generally say it's easier to buy an old/ small house and expand it than it is to start from scratch. Or at the very least, people buy property that already has one structure (and therefore utilities) and build another one. Have fun!
