My mil is going to watch our baby after it is born, but I was looking for a backup when if she is out of town, sick, etc. I know the day care centers are usually full time but wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Harford or Baltimore counties. Thanks!
Our daycare center allows older sibling drop-ins on days when the county schools are closed, but they are only for familes that alredy have at least 1 child at the center.
Bright Horizons is the only daycare center that I know of that does drop-in care for infants and that is because they are partially funded by the employer where the center exists. (DH considered a job in Tide Point, that had a Bright Horizons and they offered this as a selling point to potential employees of the company.)
If you are in the Metro DC are there is a service called Nanny Pop-ins, that offers back up nannies, however, their services don't extend much beyond Montgomery county.
