Liberating

Anyone else feel totally liberated of body image issues? It feels so good to not care if my stomach is sticking out. I think because this was my problem area before pregnancy, I feel really happy about not trying to wear something that hides it. I want my belly to poke out now and am disappointed that it isn't poking out more. Anyone else feel this way?

Re: Liberating

  • Yes :-) At least I don't have to worry as much about my tummy anymore, but it doesn't excuse my big thighs and flabby arms :)

  • Yes!! I would only wear a tighter fitting top with a scarf or cardigan. Now if I don't wear a more form fitting top, my bump is camouflaged and I just look fluffy. I love that my bump is now more bubble like so not to be confused with a food baby!
  • Yes this is the best part of pregnancy! I can let the guy loose. Lol.

  • I have had weight issues since I was 11. My entire life has been spent trying to camouflage a tummy. Finally at 36 I am FREE! We went to a BBQ yesterday and everyone kept saying how little my tummy was. I know they were referring to my prego belly but it was very very strange to hear those words. I want this baby to grow and I finally don't watch every stupid calorie. It's made me think about what a limiting existence I lived. Thank you baby for already teaching me something!
  • Yes. I just started telling family this weekend. I wore a dress that showed it off to a family party. It was kind of fun to get the attention. Although it was a little weird having people touch it. I instantly wanted to suck it in.

I love not having to suck in my tummy but I want to tone up my arms a little for all the maxi dresses I plan to wear! Plus it'll help with carrying the baby!
  • Yes, absolutely! It is so wonderful not to really have to think about. I feel like I have plenty of other things to dwell on right now!
