rMe

I just read your response to BMI's post about our babies turning a year. I love the one to two stage too. It is by far the most fun for me. People always lOol at me like I've sprouted another arm out of my ear when I tell them that. Glad to see I'm not alone. :]

I really do love that stage! I'm sure you know but I teach two year olds and I like that age but I am always trying to sneak in the 1-2 room lol they are just little sponges and just learning they have a place in the world.

  • That's right! I forgot until you reminded me. I was in the twos room in my last job. I think three is the toughest age for me.

Yes! And it is not terrible twos... terrible threes all the way!

I will say some kids have the terrible twos and if they don't, they have the terrible threes. The terrible threes is so much harder IMO. They can talk so well and argue so much more coherently.

That is what I like about threes! Not nearly as much guess work, I feel like they communicate so much more clearly and it eliminates some of the tantrums and meltdowns :)

One of the challenges of two to three, that teachers work on, is decentering. The kids that don't decenter are the ones who have terrible threes. I bet your kids decentered on schedule.

You're right. Much easier to communicate with... But that just means they are not babies anymore. :[ so I still like 12! In between baby and kid. Wait, that would be a toddler...

...and now I'm off to google decentering!  Thanks for letting me butt in, you ladies have a great night :)

  • It just means they figure out the world doesn't revolve around them. I like all the ages...well I'm a little afraid of middle school...but I prefer 1 to 2 and then 4.
