Shut the front door! (DH AW)

Two things you should know about the Ferris household:

1. My DH cannot keep a secret.  No matter how big or small, he can't keep it in.

2. We got married in the Dominican Republic three years ago in exactly one month.

So, imagine my surprise when yesterday DH springs on me as an anniversary present we will be returning to the Dominican Republic to celebrate.  I am so overwhelmingly excited to go on vacation (even though it will be my first time away from DS). 

Sorry to brag...I just had to tell someone because I'm so excited!

    You wouldn't mind if I came along, right? Because I could try to squeeze in your suitcase or something, if I have to.

     Seriously- amazing!  How long will you be there for? That'll be so much fun!

    That's awesome! My husband is the kind of person that would think it was a good idea to do that but have no idea how to plan it so it would never happen.

    We're going for five days, and of course there's room in my suitcase!

    My husband got in touch with the same travel agent who helped us book our wedding, so she put the trip together.  I'm seriously so, so excited.

    DH is the same way. We are terrible gift givers! Lol Christmas is torture. We just want to give each other everything as soon as we get them. 

    This is DH's whole family.  They all know what they are getting from everyone before a single piece of wrapping paper is torn!

    Thanks all--I totally agree that DH is pretty awesome, and I cannot believe he surprised me.  I'll make sure to take plenty of pictures and have a tropical drink for you all.

    Salt--Destination weddings do rock.  I wish one or more of my friends would have them.  It was an awesome reason to basically go on vacation with your best friends.  What could be better?

    Congratulations! Enjoy your time away with your DH. I know the first time away from your son may be a little scary, but he will be fine, and you all will have fun and time to reconnect alone, which is so important. That is so thoughtful of your DH!
