Ears pierced and sleep

For those of you that have gotten your LO's ears pierced, did you find it kept them up at night or caused any discomfort after all was said and done? TIA

Re: Ears pierced and sleep

  • Not at all. My daughter rolls to her side while sleeping and had no discomfort with her earrings in.

  • My parents pierced mine at a year old and put hoops in. Small gold ones that didn't poke in. If I have a DD then this is the route we will go :)

  • We got our DD ears pierced at 3 months and it didn't cause any problems. At the beginning sometimes she fussed a little when we cleaned them but barely at all.

    Well, it hurts my ears/head to wear earrings to bed, so I'd assume it would be the same.nbsp;

    I agree. I cant stand sleeping with my earrings, they poke me! I imagine the same would be the case for them.
  • DD got hers pierced around 3 months and she showed no discomfort at all and still hasn't.

    I sleep with my earrings in and they don't bother me so I'd assume there's the possibility that it doesn't bother them either.

  • We pierced our dd's ears at six weeks following our ped's encouragement. She recommended having them pierced with the safety backs which cover the tip of the earrings and won't scratch the back of the neck. Our dd was never bothered with them and slept without issue.

    If any moms would like our ped's tips which included how to find the right person, place and type of piercing earrings for your little one, drop me an e-mail.
