I am 38 and hubby and I want another baby. We have a healthy happy 2 1/2 year old boy! I have the go ahead from my OBGYN but I am so scared of the baby being downs or worse. Are there any other 38+ trying for a baby?
Well you will find few of us here, I am 39 (well two weeks shy to 40) is trying my first. Got pg in Feb and had a misscarriage in April. But I am not losing hope and I am keep trying. Welcome to the board, this is a group of very supportive women!
Actually, I am not. There are so many tests out there you can find out a lot of information in the early stage. I guess I will take it one day at a time, you only can worry so much in life. Best of luck to you.
Like, JChow said, there are quite a few test out there to help, either before with a saliva test/blood test to see if, either one of you are carriers or when you get pregnant to check at an early stage. But, I can understand not wanting to make that decision, once you are prego.....so, talk to your doctor about your options and creating a good plan, so that you are not facing that type of situation. I am assuming that you are TTC naturally?
I just turned 38 last month and I am 7 weeks pregnant with my first. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and crossing my fingers that my baby is healthy!
