I have been selected for a two week Jury Duty in July. LO will be 2 months old. I EBF, and I am also sole childcare provider for both him and DS1, who is 2. Jury Duty is an hour and half drive with no traffic and two and half with traffic. My mom and MIL do live nearby, though, and could watch the boys, and I do have a pump. My state has no pertinent laws.
Do I put in to delay my jury duty or do I suck it up and go? Discuss.
NOTE: I am not considering trying to exempt from JD, simply considering delaying it.

Re: WWPD?
First we had eachother.5.27.11
Then we had you.6.16.12
Now we have everything.
I got mine when DS was 4 months old. It was pretty simple; I called the number on the card, told her I was a SAHM (during the week, I only work on the weekends when SO is home), that I nursed, and that there was no one else to care for DS while I spent a day downtown. She said no problem and delayed it for a year. She said if at my next date, something is going on, just to call again.
I would delay it. It took me five minutes and saved me a hell of a lot of hassle.
SCANDAL!
I was called for jury duty right after my LO was born, and one of the boxes you could check for exemption was something like, "breastfeeding mother of infant." If it wasn't that, it was something similar.
If you're not interested in getting out of it all together, then I'm sure you can delay until it would be more convenient.
Actually, in my state, there's no exemption law or rule in place. It's at the discretion of whoever gets my paperwork. I have to request it in writing.
Thanks, Parenting. My FB friends agree with you, so I'll send in my paperwork guilt free.
