August 2012 Moms

I did it!

I successfully pulled on my pre-pregnancy shorts. It's a whole lotta scary, can't zip, can't button, whole lotta muffin-age hanging out, but I can get them ON. Now maybe by the end of summer, I'll actually be able to wear them.

Anyone else still not 100% in pre-pregnancy clothes?

  • You go, Glen Coco!

The first day I realized that I could fit back into my PP jeans it was SO HARD not to stop random strangers on the street and be like, "These are my MOST FAVORITE pants, and they are REGULAR pants, and they have no elastic panel!!! I did it!!"

What are pre pregnancy clothes? Lol I got rid of a lot of that stuff because my hips are wider now. I bought all new jeans, and shorts. Kept most shirts. I could fit into a bunch I'd my old jeans, but they didn't flatter my new body at all. Plus, I was ready for a new wardrobe.

Ahhh I can't wait to fit my jeans and actually fit my shorts (in a way I'd wear in public!), and I probably will have to restrain myself from doing the same. For now I'm wearing my work out shorts with the elastic in them.

BTW, I love that movie! That movie got me through college and studying, since I knew all of the lines and didn't have to pay attention 100% I could put it on in hte background.

I will most likely have to get new shirts, since I went from a B (almost C) to a DD now. I'm holding out hope that they'll reduce after I quit BF though, but for this summer I'll need new shirts.

I don't know that I will ever fit back in mine. I think having twins was a total game changer.

I'm pretty sure that when I could button up my pre pregnancy jeans I DID tell people about it at the store... I think their general response was "girl, just because it zips, don't mean it fits!" because those jeans were NOT a pretty sight several months ago! The muffin top was enough to feed a small country!

Hahaha love the "just because it zips doesn't mean it fits"! That is definitely applicable to my life right now. I think it's way easier to motivate myself to keep going now that I can see that those shorts/pants are fitting better versus before when I could even pull them up past my knees. It's all mental, but it's mentally easier for me this way ;)

Yeah, that's definitely a whole different ball game for a body.

  • HAHAHAHA! I'm three sizes off my pp clothes. I don't think I'll be back down to pp size ever.

Btw, this ice cream I'm eating right now? DELICIOUS.
