C-sections

Labor with a scheduled cs

So I have been in the mind set that my water is just going to break again so I won't have to worry about labor.  Well now I am 10 days from my due date and scheduled cs (same date- June 4th) and labor over water breaking is a real possibility so I was asking my doctor what I should do if I actually go into labor and she told me the same as a vaginal birth. Labor at home until contractions are 5 min apart for an hour.  I just find this weird being that I know I have to have a C-section so why cut it so close. What have your doctors said about when to come in if your go into labor?

Mine told me to go to L&D as soon as contractions are regular or right away if my water breaks.  My cs is scheduled next Friday.

I'm having twins and its my third pregnancy. I went really fast with my second. This time, since I'm getting a c sec, she wants me to come in the minute I'm a timeable 10 minutes apart.
So, to me, 5 minutes apart for a singleton doesn't sound that bad. I think it just confirms that your in labor and it won't go away.
Which pregnancy is this for you?
I'm moble bumping, so can't see tickers or pics or anything.
  • I'm scheduled for the 4th as well, and my due date is the 8th. My doctor told me that if contractions get regular and 10 minutes apart, I should head to the hospital, because little guy is breech. I guess it depends on the reason behind the c-section, and if labor is more likely to end up in complications. But if it was me, I wouldn't want to go through hours of labor if I knew I was having a c section anyways!
  • mine told me to go to L&D when I started feeling contractions--I went into labor 2 weeks before my scheduled repeat c section (which was schedule for week 39)
