Can we jump for joy? I have to admit that I am a little annoyed that it took a big blow up on another board to possibly get rid of her, when so many of us have been requesting it for so long.

Question... I wasn't involved in the first incident and try to only follow enough to understand the basics of what's going on. What I gather though is that this is a whole level of crazy beyond just what has happened in the last year. What is to keep her from creating an account and beginning again? Also, is Alicia a REAL person or an AE? That's curiosity getting the best of me after the Tao fake girlfriend incident.

Don't feel bad for yourself. No one could have seen this coming. Just glad she'll finally be gone and seen for who she really is.

You know, one thing I can say for her is that she pretty much stopped posting here after we all made it pretty clear how much we disliked her. She only popped up once in a while when she couldn't help herself [like the CIO thread]. So I don't think she will come back w an ae. That's more allison's style.

I'm more worried about her creating an account to become a mod again down the road. There is a very similar woman on the What To Expect site forums. Nothing so personal and scary but the same opinions and similar dialog. It just makes me wonder.

Yup, this board really suffered because of her and her BFF. And sorry, but considering how well the Bump runs these forums and the site, I really don't trust them to monitor and filter through their mod choices, there have been many crazy mods in the past...legally binding contract or not. As long as you aren't cutting into their profits, they don't care. And I'm sure they actually love the attention that crazies like A and A bring to these forums. This place has been hopping the last couple days from those two.

And sorry, but considering how well the Bump runs these forums and the site, I really don't trust them to monitor and filter through their mod choices, there have been many crazy mods in the past...legally binding contract or not. As long as you aren't cutting into their profits, they don't care. And I'm sure they actually love the attention that crazies like A and A bring to these forums. This place has been hopping the last couple days from those two.

Another Mod here (I'm on SAHM board and have been a Mod for 5 years). Completely understand your concerns. If I can make a suggestion, start a thread asking for Mod nominations on this board and, as a board, you all can vote on the person you feel best represents the board. It's how a lot of Mods have been chosen. Believe it or not, rarely has some random, new poster become a Mod, though The Bump's not perfect and mistakes have been made.

We'll make sure it gets before Bump Jackie for consideration.

There was no vote. Emilyheps was our mod at the time and suggested Alicia as mod. Emily has apologized about this multiple times, in this thread and in the past too. Even though, really, there was no way Emily could have known the craziness that would transpire.
