I'm setting up a fundraiser 5K and I want it to be fun and something that will set it apart from other runs. What are some ideas that you guys can think of that would be fun for a 5K? It's to support the National Alopecia Areata Foundation and its going to be called the Tortoise and the Hair run/walk and I was thinking of everyone wearing crazy wigs or hats. That's my only idea so far. TIA
Re: 5K ideas
My favorite 5ks are the ones with beer gardens at the finish. Nothing better than refilling your electrolytes with a cold one. The ones by me have local craft microbreweries - so if you have those by you, they may be able to donate to the cause.
Some of the halfs I've done have had fun things on the course like handing out hamburgers, or a sprinkler run-through (like a carwash, but for people). I don't know how feasible those would be for shorter races though.
