Hello I wanted to introduce myself as this board seems fun, helpful sarcastic and witty, my kind of place. I am 28 years old and stay home with my 2.5 year old son and I am almost 15 weeks pregnant with number 2. I am also on the Nov. 2013 board. Before deciding to stay home I was a social worker during the day and a firefighter/Emt on nights and weekends. I love coffee, wine and reading. I get wicked pissed when the nanny is late,I have important stuff to do and places to shop!

    I hate that I do not have a nanny or a housekeeper, or a butler or a personal trainer.

    Welcome! I'm also a SAH social worker. There seem to be quite a few of us. Maybe it just shows how little we were paid and how stressful it is.

    I completely agree. Very stressful and under paid. I loved my actual job most days and miss my co workers but made the right decision leaving.

    Lol me too. Have you seen the joke about going to target alone is like going on vacation? That's my life and there is a Starbucks in the target by me, score!

    Seriously! Me, too! :)

    I'm in the San Francisco area and have been at home just over 7 years. I have  DD who's almost 7 and finishing up first grade and a DS who's turning 2 next week.
