Just trying to get an idea what averages are out there. My twins were preemies but since they are almost 2 now, we have to start comparing them to other kids of their same age instead of adjusting. I'm most concerned about my smaller twin. He's still barely 20 lbs at 22.5 mo old. He looks tiny compared to most kids his age! I plan on asking the pedi but just wondering if I should even be concerned since he is otherwise healthy.
Re: 18-24 mo weights?
If they were early than I think being small is less concerning. If he's otherwise healthy and eats well (or as well as a toddler will eat!) then I don't think you have anything to worry about.
My DD2 is an itty bitty, only 21 lbs at 20 months (somewhere around 9% for weight on the growth chart). She was full term but has always been small and the GI believes she has a growth delay. She is 100% healthy and eats well, very active and hitting milestones early/on time, so no one is concerned. We were just told to expect her growth spurts to be delayed and her growth pattern to be erratic, and that she will likely always be on the small side for her age. Someone has to make up the bottom of the charts, just like someone has to make up the top!

He was 27 lbs at his 2 year appointment.
You can certainly ask the pedi but I don't think it's something to be concerned about as long as his growth pattern has been the same over time.

DD2 only gained half a pound from 12-15 months, then suddenly gained 3 lbs from 15-18 months. Now she has not gained anything in the last 2 months. All drs have declared her healthy, just small. Keep feeding him all those healthy fats and try not to worry
