I am 25 weeks the last few days I have been so, so exhausted. I could seriously sleep the entire day. What's up with that?! Anyone else need an energy boost?

My mommy friends always remind me growing a baby is hard work! But yes, I totally understand with being so tired. I'm a teacher and there are days when I'm ready to take a nap an hour into the school day! Or, like today, I'm ready for bed now and it's only 7:15!!!
My tiredness comes and goes. I like it better when it goes : Sometimes I'm okay with needing to lay around but most of the time it makes me feel bored and kind of useless as DH works around the house. Oh well, my body's working 24/7, right?
Sometimes I lose track of how important little things like what I am eatting and how I am sleeping have their toll on me. It's not enough anymore to eat small meals nine-hundred times a day. They have to be the right complex carb and protein foods in order to give me the energy I need. Also it isn't enough to get 8 hours of sleep. I need 7 hours at night and then a 30 min. nap every 4 hours. I mean it seems demanding but like the PP's have said growing humans is hard. Just play around with what you eat, drink and how you sleep and see if you can find a winning combination that won't leave your tank empty at the end of the day.
Yep, same boat here. I could walk to the bathroom and then come back to sleep for hours. This was pretty much how we figured out I was pregnant or at least should take a test as exhausted doesnt even come close to how I was feeling and am feeling now. Yuck.
Yes!nbsp; I think mine is a side effect of the P17 shots I get each week, but last PG it was due to anemia.nbsp; Please bring this symptom up at your next OB visit or sooner if it is getting too hard to function, as it is important to treat if it is anemia.
This is great advice! My bloodwork showed I was anemic.... Which I suspected because I was always so so sooooo tired. I am now taking iron, B12, and vit D in addition to my prenatal and I'm starting to feel better! Worth checking out if it feels like more than just the exhausting "growing a human" kind of exhaustion ;D
Most days I pass out early, but make it through the day relatively easily without a nap now (1st tri- no way!). Today I have been particularly exhausted though despite a pretty good sleep last night and sleeping in and it's making me wonder if my iron level is low. I haven't eaten very well these past three days and I've had no red meat or iron rich foods, so I wouldn't be surprised.
