Neupogen?

Hi ladies. We are gearing up for our cycle this summer. My doctor is suggesting the kitchen sink approach, which I'm mostly up for, I guess. Her latest suggestion is Intrauterine Neupogen which she says can be helpful for recurrent implantation failure or repeated loss. Has anyone heard of it or tried it?

She emailed me this link: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23081869, but it seems that it was studied for thin lining, not necessarily implantation or loss. My lining has always been in the appropriate range, but I have had 4 transfers with 2 early losses and 2 BFN. Any insight you can offer is appreciated.

Dr. Braver.man has a lot of info on neupogen on his website. For recurrent loss/implantaion failure it is not used as a wash but injected daily starting with stims through 12 weeks.

Braverman does the injects and uterine wash. I was not allowed to take Neupogen because the hematologist said it can recruit cancer cells. You need to look deeper into this because its a drug used to grow cells for bone marrow. I suggest consulting your PCP and a hematologist.

I used it as a uterine wash to promote lining growth. It didn't make a difference.

Under Dr. B's care, I used it in the injectable form for implantation failure. I don't know much about the uterine washes. Sending you a PM.

I used Neupogen injectable during my cycle until 12w pg under Dr B's care. My RE didn't want me to do it but after everything I'd been through I insisted because it was the last thing left to try. I can't say whether or not it's what worked this cycle, but I'm currently 24w6d. I don't think a hematologist or PCP would know much about Neupogen used for this purpose, although of course you could ask their opinion. The mainstream medical community doesn't believe in most of the immunological treatments, but they were the only thing left to try so I was willing to take any risks that came along with it.

Luvboston is very smart with this one. Neupogen and any other similar drug has been used with success but also has to be used with caution. I took this drug during my cancer treatments to promote the growth of good cells because my other chemo drugs were killing all the cells. Keep in mind though, this DOES promote the growth of both normal AND abnormal or cancerous cells. That's not to say that it will but there is a risk of it. With that being said, I am still planning to be on HGH for a very short burst. We are using it for egg quality not for lining issues. I just want to make sure everyone knows that this is not something to jump into, research this option and recognize the risks like all the others we take on.
