Stay at Home Moms

Don't you just love being a SAHM?

It's great.  I get to stay home, eat all day, watch tv and bump.  And my husband does all the hard work and makes all the money.  He's such a sucker.

This seriously made me laugh out loud!

That is EXACTLY what we do all day!  Damn, I'm glad somebody finally figured us out.

  • I spent the afternoon on a shopping trip with dd while ds was in preschool. I felt like the quintessential Sahm out spending Dhs money while he was working hard.

I prefer push pops and beer. Other than that, spot on.

I never thought about having beer.  Is that safe when you're home with kids and no other adult?

I do love being a SAHM, but eating all day is a no no for me. What if I get fat? Then my DH would no longer be happy doing all the hard work, he'd leave me and then I would havwe to :gasp!: work.

Is there any other way you can get your kicks, or are you THAT bored?

Great job!!  Just make sure you hide the goods before your H comes home.  You can't let him know exactly how much of HIS money you actually spend.

  • OMG I know! I've found that kids can really do SO much for themselves once they learn how to crawl. My youngest is currently using sharp knives and the stove to make me a snack.

isnt the purpose of having children is free labor? My son is currently mowing the lawn and pulling dandelions while my daughter is doing laundry.

  • Tell me about it!  Like, seriously 14 mo old, you can open the toilet seat and play in the bowl but you can't open the fridge and bring mama a bottle of wine???  Why did I become a parent?????
  • This post cracked me up and made me come out of lurking. I must add playing candy crush all day to the list ;-)  Do you do intro post here?

  • I'm back!  Sorry.  My kid woke up from his nap.  I had to get him a snack & find a show on tv he will watch.  I really hate it when the nanny is off for the day!  YKWIM?

I have an online shopping addiction. Don't forget that!

We should totally start a support group.  I know I need help & support in this department.  DH just doesn't understand.

Why would you give her a day off??

I know, right?  Well, it's only every other Friday, so I just suck it up.  I'm such a good mother, and employer for that matter.  It's so hard to find good help.  Speaking of which, the maid did a crap job on my floors this week.  I will be having a heart to heart with her tomorrow when she comes to do my laundry.

Yep, that's exactly it! Except we just drink Kim Crawford all day in our Starbucks mugs and push our Bugaboo Donkeys about town shopping the boutiques. With a nanny.

I think you just nailed the premise of Pretty W.icked Moms.

I love it so much that I'm trying to pawn the kids off on my MIL tomorrow. I need to eat my bon bons and watch my stories in peace dammit!

You really should discuss the importance of a nanny with your H.  Explain that it's necessary for your mental well being.  I mean you gave birth.  Haven't you done enough already??

Right? Nobody told me I would have to RAISE the little monsters!

It's a dirty trick.  I blame fathers.  That's why he should pay for the nanny.

Ha ha.  I don't really like bon bons, though.  Being a SAHM is pretty awesome on days when both kids have school.

Gawd I can't wait for my kid to go to school!  Only 3 more years.  Then I won't have to worry about the nanny's day off.  Oh yeah, car pool!!!  I wonder if she'll do that on Fridays if I pay her extra.  I mean if DH pays her extra.
