I'm sorry to hear that your fiance's blood work came back showing signs of lupus. I wish you both the best!
To answer your question, I don't know if there are any affects of lupus on fertility, but it sounds like a good question for your doctor. I can see from your post count that you are a newbie around here, so I just want to point you in the right direction. This board is for people who have been TTC for over a year with no success (or 6 months over the age of 35). Most of us have an infertility diagnosis and are under the care of a reproductive endocrinologist. Perhaps you fit into that category, in which case I'm very sorry (it's hard to tell because you don't have any info in your siggy and I don't recognize your username). You might want to try your question on the TTGP page too. I wish you all of the best!
Is it lupus or lupus anticoagulant? I tested positive for lupus anticoagulant initially but my retest was negitive. What I learned during the waiting game for the test results was its a bigger issue for staying pregnant because of clotting. Is there a retest?
Ya im confused on how this blogging stuff works, is there somewhere that tells me someone responded to my posts?
And ya we have been trying for about a year and a half but the past 3 months I've been going to the doctor about it.
In that case, it sounds like this is a good board for you. I'm sorry it has been such a long time for you. My DH & I have been at it for just over a year too which you can see in my siggy. When you say you're seeing a doctor, do you mean a RE or OB?
I think there's a way to watch threads... though I've clicked on that link a bunch of times and it doesn't seem to do anything for me. I usually just come back to check on the threads I'm interested in throughout the day. There's also a tab on your home page where it keeps track of your posting history.
I've had a hard time navigating the technology aspect of things around this site, but the boards are excellent! Lots of knowledgeable ladies and support
Good luck with everything and I hope you find the answer to your question!
