Hi! I currently live in NYC and DS is 3 mos. old. I'm interested in how much daycare costs in Dallas-Ft. Worth and also the atmosphere for young, working families. Considering a move for a job, but it needs to be worth it for our family overall. I'm anticipating culture shock from NYC. Thoughts?
Re: daycare and family life in DFW- potential transplant
Where in DFW are you planning on moving or what city is the potential job located? DFW is a large area with many surrounding suburbs and cities. Depending on where you live in DFW the prices, lifestyle, etc will vary. I was born and lived half my life in NYC and NJ, but I love it here and could never move back to NY.
In Texas you must drive to get most places, but some transit is available in Dallas, Fort Worth, and some larger surrounding cities. However, the main methid of transportation is by car.
