Salon shampoo and conditioner?

Is salon shampoo and conditioner worth the money? Is it just much better than drugstore brands? I don't have any hair problems (I don't color it and I heat style it only once a week), but I was at a specialty store the other day and was tempted to buy some salon hair products. Do you swear by salon or drugstore shampoo?

Re: Salon shampoo and conditioner?

  • I have used salon stuff for years.  I think it weighs down my hair less which brings out it's true shine.  I buy huge bottles for a good price so I'm not sure that it's even that much more than store brand.

I swear by it. But I also wash my hair like, twice a week, so it takes me a LONG time to go through it.

I color my hair. If I didn't, I'd probably go with drugstore.

This is how I am too.  I buy the expensive stuff because I color my hair and I will do anything to keep it from fading too fast.  I also don't wash my hair a ton so I can buy the big bottles of Pureology twice a year.  It's expensive at the time, but not buying again for 6-7 months isn't too bad.
