I HAVE A SECOND SON WHO IS GONNA BE 4 IN DECEMBER WHICH WE DID NOT HAVE A SHOWER OF ANY TYPE, I GAVE ALL MY STUFF AWAY AND NOW IM PREGNANT WITH #3 WHICH HAPPENS TO BE A BOY, MY MOM WANTS TO THROW ME A BABY SHOWER, IS THAT TACKY?

Re: A SECOND BABY SHOWER FOR BABY#3???

  • I've been to showers for friends who were having children further apart or who had moved across country and chose not to take all the baby items that had been grown out of. I think some of them were called sprinkles instead of showers because after the first time around they knew what they really needed and what they could live without. I think the biggest thing is that most of your guests would know that you have two older boys and may not have planned for another so much later... Not tacky at all.

  • My mother in law is doing one for me too. The fact is we need basic stuff and if someone wants to help it is greatly appreciated. Its not a big shower maybe 8-10 people and mostly family. If anyone thinks it is tacky they dont have to come.

  • I've heard people say both ways and have seen numerous moms that have a shower for every baby.  Quite honestly, I don't know if the majority of us even know the appropriate "etiquette" anyway and it's probably considered outdated by many.  I think your safe...
