Happy Friday ladies! Share your holiday weekend plans!
I get a three and a half day weekend, my office is closed Monday and my d/c lady isn't taking kids on Tuesday so I'm staying at home with Little J until my Mom comes over at 11am and then I'm going into work.
Tonight my MIL is coming over to hang out, DH is going to go see the new Star Trek movie with some buddies.
Tomorrow I plan to do some deep cleaning while DH and Little J have a major round of play time. And I also have to bake a few batches of cookies for Sunday.
Sunday we are going to a friends house for a BBQ/congrats on completing your first year of college (our friend is back in school to get his engineering degree).
And Monday we are having a family day of our own...which I'll probably spend a few more hours cleaning.
Oh and we are going to tackle the crib again...we have tried it on two other occasions where DS will get up every hour on the hour and I end up giving up and putting him in the PNP next to our bed again. But we are going to give it a go again this weekend, with DH's help, hopefully we'll have better luck!

Re: Weekend plans?
DH's best man from our wedding is in town. It's one of 3 remaining weekends in the States! We're probably going to head into DC at least one day.
I keep forgetting though we need to get our sh*t together! The movers come to pick up our stuff on Tuesday and we're super unorganized right now so I should be working on that but I'm currently laying on the floor in my room trying to convince Eloise to either sleep or at least have quiet time in her PnP and it's not going well.
The only thing that has to happen this weekend is finally getting an oil change for my car! Between having a baby and going back to work its been low on my priorities but way past due! Funny what gets neglected now!
We were invited to a wedding reception but its 2 hrs away, starts at 7pm, isn't real kid friendly and my parents are going so no babysitter! So not going. Oh well!
My DH is a firefighter so he'll be working Monday (yay holiday pay!) but I will not be and will probably just hang out with DD and maybe get a visit from my parents.
I hope everyone gas a safe and happy holiday weekend!
I feel for you! I HATE moving and packing and I've done it about 10 times in the past 5 years since I graduated undergrad. Last year when we bought our home I procrastinated so much. I was pregnant, exhausted and over it. My husbands fire department thankfully helped a ton. Good luck with your move! Going out of the country sounds so exciting/scary but I am sure it will be an amazing experience for your family.
I really can't complain too much because we don't really do any of the packing but I'm not the super organized type so while I should be dividing everything up based on which shipment it should be sent with, I'm not! Last time they "lost" a ton of our stuff and it was chaos to try and locate it to get it back to us and they had put it in our storage bin... kind of the first place you'd think they'd have checked!
I'm also so unsure of wether or not I should ship some of my clothes. We only get 2 pieces of luggage on the plane, I think it'll all fit but I'm just not sure! Unfortunately moving is only going to get harder as Eloise [+ maybe another in a couple years] gets older!
Oh and Tuesday I have to get a dumb pregnancy cavity filled!
My only goal for this weekend is getting her to nap in the crib, for every nap! She does the morning and late afternoon one there, so now I try midday!
We really don't have any plans. I wish someone would invite us for a BBQ. We'll probably go to the IL's on Sunday.

No special plans Sat or Sunday -- just some basic cleaning, grocery trip, lawn mowing.
I'm REALLY excited for Monday -- my parents are coming over to watch the girls in the afternoon so we can take in Taste of Cincinnati and the Reds game, with a couple who are close friends of ours. And, the weather is going to be AMAZING! We're so, SO excited. Sure, I'm going to have to go into my office to pump between events (thankful I even have that option -- since Taste is located right smack at our office headquarters -- preferable to heading back to the car to pump!), but I'll take it!
hopefully buying a new car tomorrow...well used, but new to me...then rushing home so dh can watch the champions final match
sunday business as usual going to his parents house
no plans for monday, just enjoying the day off...maybe if it's a nice day we'll take the girl to the park....
somewhere in there i have to catch up on laundry and stuff....vacation days are never really vacation days
Not a long weekend here
Today I'll go to my niece's end of the year recital; I'm in charge of the photos
It's right after school so I'll have L & S with me, hopefully they'll behave!
Saturday: helping my sister make the balloons arrangements for a kid's party she's decorating and making the cake for and then going with her to Trieste (ab. 60 miles from here) for Green Day's concert, it should be fun, even if it's supposed to be rainy and cold
Sunday: Cantine Aperte!! All the wineries in our region have an "open house" so you can visit their cellars and taste their various kinds of wine. You just buy the current edition wine glass (usually 8-10 euros that go to Unicef) and then have free wine during the whole day at every winery you go to, along with free appettizers like prosciutto, cheese, crackers... Considering that some of these wines cost up to 10e a glass is a great event! My sister, hed DH, mine and I are ditching our kids at their grandparents and hitting the winery filled hills! DH is this year's designated driver
Tomorrow we are going fishing with my family at my grandparents with a cookout.
Sunday we are having a shooting competition and then a fish fry.
Monday we are going putt putting for MIL's birthday and then going to a food festival down town.
