Trouble TTC

In the mean time...

So, since we are moving to Montana from California next week and will be without a RE for a little while throughout the moving process and getting settled, I've been thinking of ways to hopefully improve my fertility on my own until we find one.

Obviously I need to drop some weight (Zumba here I come, hehe!), and improve my diet. I went about 90% Paleo last year for three months and lost 20 lbs. That way of eating was the most successful for me, and I've done my share of dieting as I've struggled with my weight for years.

Then there's the dreaded hostile cervical environment/mucus I've been graced with lol (as if the PCOS wasn't enough). I've read some articles online about Evening Primrose Oil, and how it can improve your CM if you have this problem. Have any of you ladies tried this before? I've read to only take it from the time you start your period until ovulation, but my periods have been very wonky lately, so it would be kind of hard to judge when to take it. Just wondering if it's safe to take on a daily basis.

Thank you for making it this far, if you're still reading. Just feeling very hopeful and uplifted today that maybe I can make a difference and improve myself inside and out through this rough journey. (((Hugs to all of you!)))

Re: In the mean time...

  • I don't really have any tips or suggestions, just wanted to say yay for you doing what you can to keep moving forward.  I think it is great you are working to do what you can during this transition.  Good luck!

Oh and I love me some zumba!

Love that picture! Hehe! I've never tried it before, but it looks really fun!  My hubby bought it for me for our Wii, so it's time to bust it out! :)

sounds like a good plan- getting healthier is always a good thing for you and your future baby!

I take Primrose oil and haven't notice a change in my CM, but I usually have a decent amount so sorry not more info on that!  The thing that helps me get more CM is water...TONS and TONS of water.

I will definitely up my water intake. Do you take the EPO daily, like a regular multi-vitamin?

  • I LOVE those Zumba pictures!!! Made me giggle, because I'm not the most coordinated person in the world (especially with dancing), so I'm sure my husband will get a good laugh when I start!
