Conversations with my two year old

I know our LOs aren't quite there, yet, but I still found this hilarious. Sorry if this has already been posted. (I wasn't around much at the beginning of this week and have plans to blow off most of my work today.)

Re: Conversations with my two year old

  • Lol! I'm waiting for some coworkers to come in to watch the video with me but I can only imagine. Toddlers are jerks and sometimes they say totally creepy things and are part of the reason why I believe in ghosts. Lo's new thing is saying nuff (nothing). So most conversations go like this and end up with me wanting to shake her.

What do you want for breakfast?

    Nuff.

How bout a waffle and grapes (take them out of the fridge)

NOOOOOOOOOO NUFF STOOOOOP EAAAAAAAT (eat and it sound the same)

    (I put the food back)

NOOOOO MOOOOOOOOMMAAAA STOOOOOOOOP WANNA GAPE (grape)

Ok (put the grapes out for her)

NOOO WANNA NUFF (throws grapes on the floor, dog eats them)

Stop eat Say-yay (Sally the dog) WANNNNNA GAAAAAAPE

It sounds like your LO and mine have been lunching together and giving each other tips on mealtime manners.

  • Hilarious.  :)

A caution on the grapes though: my friend's dog had a stroke from eating grapes.

    Whaaa? Really?

I had never heard of that until he mentioned it maybe a year ago. Then not long after, I happen to read an article about foods to keep away from a dog. Sure enough, grapes/raisins were on that list. There were a lot more things on the list than I had ever heard. Onions are the biggest one I have to watch out for with LO.

Grapes are toxic to dogs but depending on the size of the dog they would have to eat a large amount of them.  I asked our vet about it when Darcy was in her food throwing phase and he said that my ~20lb dog would have to eat a couple of ounces for them to be at a toxic level.  He said not to worry if he happened to eat one or two but not to purposefully feed them to him.
