Reading the Level Bubble KeyFit30

Just got my carseats, 10+ weeks to go so I'm just testing them for the first time.

This is my level/bubble reading- it's the same in both vehicles.  I'd like to have some idea if they are in right before getting them checked, so I want to know if this is OK for level/recline.

For starters there will be protection going between the leather seat/base, so this is not the final level or anything, but if it's "out", what do you then do?

Keyfit 30, with base, rear facing, will be for August babies.

Re: Reading the Level Bubble KeyFit30

  • The entire bubble needs to be between the 2 lines, so when I look at this photo, it looks like it needs to be adjusted a littler more. Also, make sure the car is nice and level. I don't think you are supposed to use a seat protector with this car seat. I would double check.

  • I would try to get the bubble more centered between the two arrows. Store bought seat protectors are a no-no. I have heard suggestions of using a sheet or something equally as thin between the base and the seat but that is about all you might be able to get away with.

It needs to be adjusted so that the bubble is within the lines.  Also never use anything between your car seat and your leather seats.  It's unsafe.  Your leather will be fine, I promise.
