Pick-up Lines

We've been going to a music class at Gymboree for a couple of months now and there are about 4 or 5 other moms/babies that have been there with us too. They all seem really nice and the kids enjoy playing together. I know most of them stay at home or work part time.

I want to ask if they would be interested in getting together weekly outside of gymboree for playdates, but I have no idea what to say! I don't want to seem like a creeper - I now know why men have a fear of rejection! Anyone have any pick-up lines for me to hook some new mommy friends? How would you approach them?

Re: Pick-up Lines

  • So my suggestion would be to wait until your LO ad their LO are playing together and then say something like Wow they are having so much fun together would you and their Los name like to have a play date with insert your LOs name? Just an idea....

  • I've invited other moms out to lunch after a morning story time. Or maybe say "I'm thinking of hosting a play date next week for the gymboree moms". Drop hints about having sangria or those amazeballs cake pops!

  • I totally know what you mean. You don't want to come across like you are asking them out on a date. I think most moms would love to hang out and will be excited if you say you want to get together.
