late night urgent femara question!

Was just about to take my first dose of femara day 3 and noticed they gave me an expired pack feb 2013! Usually medication is just a little less potent after expiry, but I don't want to jeopardize anything by taking it and it being dangerous or waiting one extra day to start...wwyd?

    Speaking as a nurse and 3TC'er...

    I would take it back to the pharmacy first thing in the morning and get a new RX. You don't want to risk any adverse reactions. It should be ok to start a day late because sometimes they will prescribe it cycle days 5-9. I would also let your RE know just in case.

    I started my femara on CD4 with no problem. I would wait to get the new. No sense in risking it, right?
