House update

Sorry if the new house is all I post about, but it's pretty much all I've been doing. We get up, take the girls to DC, head over to the new house to work on it and stay there until it's time to pick up the girls.

We haven't even started painting yet because prepping the walls is taking forfreakingever. The previous owners had wallpaper in all but 2 rooms and whatabitch that was to take off. And then there's all the spackling. Ugh! We do have help, but even that is not cutting it and I seriously doubt we're going to be ready before the movers come. Oh and did I mention we're not done packing?

I am physically and mentally exhausted and it sucks. I cannot wait for this all to be over with.

    Ugh, that sounds brutal. I would feel pretty defeated too. When do the movers come again?  Is there any way you can bite the bullet and hire someone to get the rest of the house ready so you can pack?

    And just think this time next year when little man is colouring on the freshly painted walls you'll think why the he!! Didn't we just leave the dam wallpaper.

    NOOOO! My kid shall never draw on my walls. But Imma stock up on Mr Clean magic erasers just in case.

    Thanks for the words of encouragement. We finally got all the wallpaper off today. AFRICKINMEN. All the spackling, and most of the sanding, is done as well. We were even able to put on a first coat of primer on a couple of walls.

    Friday, Sunday and Monday will be for painting, then we'll finish packing. And then depending where we stand with the painting, maybe we'll hire someone to finish up.
