I am normally a very healthy eater and exercise each day, but it is becoming more and more difficult to maintain a healthy diet. Sometimes I don't have the energy to do more than just go to work, so I have accepted this and hope I can get back into some kind of routine after the 1st trimester. But the eating part is annoying me. Lately it's only bagels, crackers, pizza, etc. that I can keep down or that will help with the constant nauseous feeling. My diet feels so unbalanced and I don't want to gain the wrong kind of weight. I want to provide a nutritious diet for my babies. I know I'm being unnecessarily obsessive, but it still bothers me. I think I might just have to accept the fact that the next few weeks might be filled with oatmeal and mac and cheese....

Re: I wish I could be more nutritious
Have you tried snacking on fruit or veggies?
If you try to eat an apple, or an orange or any type of fruit once a day you should be fine. Or even veggies. Have you tried snacking on carrots or celery or dipping them into something?
I don't think it's bad to eat pizza and crackers and bagels but the best is if you can get some fiber and other nutrients from fresh fruit and veggies.
Hi there,
I am the same way, My husband and I were very worried that the baby wasn't getting enough to eat as I just couldn't eat and would have to do with crackers or something light, I then began to start just eating a bit of fruit like half an apple or some grapes just small amounts and week by week started eating more. Maybe this will work? I am now in my 2nd trimester and still have the sick feeling here and there but I find if I do eat alot of fruits and veggies it helps but I still do not have any energy for anything enough energy to go to work and thats it hopefully that comes back soon.
I hope you feel better soon.
I know exactly how you feel. I work 5pm-1am, EST so I sleep a lot during the day. My eating schedule is crazy! As you said, lately it's been bagels, muffins and oatmeal. Last night for dinner I had cheese pizza. I'm a big girl before getting pregnant anyways, and I've struggled for years to lose weight. Well that plan has gone right out the window.
