If you have a cleaning service, how often do they come and how much do you pay? You ladies got me thinking, but I don't want to take the leap into calling around for quotes yet...

They come every other week. We have gone through a few, but the cheapest was $95/clean and the most expensive was $115/clean. This will vary a lot depending on where you live and the size of your house. Our house is roughly 2500 sq ft.
In Chicago--we have a service come every other week, 2 ladies 2 hours. We pay $90. They get pretty much everything done in our 2100 sq. ft house, but I always tell them that the priority is the bathrooms, kitchen, and the floors should be spotless. Normal routine is change bedding, dust, dust blinds, wash floors, scrub bathrooms and kitchen. No windows.
I've had them coming for almost 2 years now, and I am thinking of maybe looking around as I don't feel they are doing as good of a job as they used to.

We have had this issue a couple of times and changed services because of it. This time, DH started leaving them a tip every few cleans instead and they have stepped it up a bit.
We have Miss Wendy who comes every other week and we pay her $85. Our house is around 1,800 square feet with one full and one half bath. She doesn't really do much in the bedrooms except maybe vacuum one area rug, but she does an amazing job everywhere else. Oh, and she doesn't dust every little thing but that's because I told her not to bother. I'm more concerned with things like the floors being cleaned, the bathrooms, the stove top, etc.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
Generally you get a discount for frequency and obviously size and area make a difference, but generally speaking it will probably be around $75 - $125. Right now we are paying $100 for 1x a month for about 2500sqft. We probably could find someone to do it for around $85, but our lady is great. She spends about 4 hours and does 'extras' like vacuum cheerios out of our couch cushions and cleans our coffee maker. We found her on craigslist vs. a service.

Our last house was 1600 sq. ft. They came every other week and it was $85 a time. Usually 2 or 3 ladies would come and the house would be done in about an hour- hour and a half.
My service just came this morning, and my house looks pretty! We have 3 maids come every 2 weeks. 1200 square foot, 3 bed, 2 and a half bath condo. $80.

Will baby #3 be another girl?

This Cluttered Life
90 dollars, every other week, 2 people, 2300 square foot house, usually 2 people though 1 main person.
PPs make me think I need to get some other quotes, but I part of me doesn't even care if I am over paying; having a house cleaner is FABULOUS!!
