Some days I'm not pumping quite enough breast milk and I need to supplement an ounce or two of formula to get DD through the day (unfortunately). I've been researching formula and am totally dismayed.
So far it looks like Similac Advance non-organic may be the best (uses lactose and has less sugar than some other brands). But, ugh. I don't want to get DD hooked on sugar at such a young age. I know the FDA says it's fine, but I don't believe them.
Those of you who supplement...what do you use?
Re: Which formula?
I could have written this word for word except now we EFF. I tried to switch to the organic similac and earths best organic, both made DS fussy and constipated. I'm sticking with similac advance until he's done with formula.
What kind of sugar is in it? I couldn't find an ingredient list on their website.
I was going to suggest this as well - this is the formula I will be looking into when I am ready to wean DS from EBF. I pump at work and HATE it, but want to keep breastfeeding when we're together - so I hope to pump once a day after 6 months, and then maybe supplement a bit.
If you want to give me your email address or message me your email address, I will take a picture of it and send it to you, if you like.
We use Similac Sensitive, but I was going to try this one (mentioned by previous poster.)
