Wetting the crib...

So almost every night he has been peeing through his diaper.  We purchased some Pamper's Baby Dry we went up a size just for the night time until we use the HUGE box of 3s we have. I also change him right before he goes to sleep.  He just seems to go to the bathroom a lot.  It takes him about 6 hours to soak these.  What diapers do you all use? I want his pjs and crib to stay dry. Any suggestions?

    I have that issue with one of my boys.  I've tried several brands and find that he rarely has this issue when we use Luvs diapers overnight.  I'd just try a few different brands of diapers to see what works for you.  We use huggies or luvs during the day, but always luvs overnight.  And the luvs are his current size, not the next size up.
    D & R were born at 37w5d.

    We have been having better luck with the store brands... particularly Walgreens and Target. The only times we have a leakage issue is when we use pampers or huggies. Go figure!

    I used the swaddlers too, and they did not hold him through the night.

    Huggies overnights work for us. I don't even have to change her if she wakes MOTN. I do add a good layer of destin before bed to be safe.

    Shes a tummy sleeper and was waking up soaked before we switched. They are very full in the morning but haven't had a leak yet.

    Can you give me a link that says this? Most of what I am finding is from 2010, and almost exclusively related to Pampers. We've been using Huggies for some time, and have had no issues. I'd be curious to read some sources on this.



    It's very possible it was just for pampers, I can't remember the brand, it just concerned me and I steered clear. Let me see what I can find

    From what I can find it's exclusively a Pampers issue...do let me know if you find something different? I totally hadn't heard about this. Good to know!

    I will because I'd love to find a better diaper for overnight

    just looking at Amazon reviews...it's almost def just pampers.

    We use Pampers Baby Dry in whatever size he's currently wearing.  We don't move up one size for overnights.  He does have mornings/late nights where I'll pick him up for a feeding and will notice he's wet, but I think this is user error since it doesn't happen with enough regularity to be concerned.  Lately he's been wriggling around like crazy on the changing table, so I suspect I am just not putting them on snugly enough.

    I have never tried it personally, but if you're having constant leaks with various brands, I would second the cloth diaper cover.  It's what people do for swim diapers, so I imagine it would offer plenty of extra protection.

    Just another thought- BRU sells diaper inserts (almost like a pad). We had to use those with DS with an overnight diaper! He was a pee -er. They are like $5 for 30 inserts. Definitely worth not having to clean a wet bed and wet baby every morning!
