I got latex nipples and the drop in system yesterday. We tried last night and it was a no go! I tried today and it wasn't going well so I switched from the frozen milk I had been using to milk I had pumped this morning. I don't know if that made the difference or if after almost 30 minutes of screaming she just gave in..... But she took 2.5 ounces!!! Hopefully each day will get a little better! Thank you ladies for your advice and support!!! It's so hard to have her look at me like I'm betraying her, but I know it will get better!

DD hated the drop-ins, and she had to have her bottles warmed up *just so* (even if she got halfway through one and it got too cold, I'd have to warm it up, lol). It's such a crapshoot -- good luck! You're doing a great job!

Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
I did taste it. The fresh milk was much sweeter than frozen but it didn't taste bad. Hummm, I'll have to taste again tomorrow and do a better comparison. Maybe I'll get DH's opinion too. He'll think I'm crazy, lol!

You are looking for a soapy or metallic taste. That's how it's usually described. Hopefully that's not it and it was just a fluke that she took the fresh and not the frozen.
