Trouble TTC

~*~Grad Check-In~*~

Hello lovely ladies and Happy Thursday!  Hope you are having a good week!

Come and tell us how you all are doing! This is the place to talk about all things baby: bumps, betas, ultrasounds, gender reveals, birth stories and more! And don't forget those pics!

QOTW:  Let's talk clothes!  Do you have a favorite piece of maternity clothing?  Where do you like to shop for maternity clothes?  Or if you haven't shopped yet, when and where do you plan to?  Anything specific you are excited to get?  PIP for extra points! =)

Have a great day and enjoy the holiday weekend!

Re: ~*~Grad Check-In~*~

  • Hi Ladies!

I still lurk here often, checking on you all!  We have our NT scan tomorrow morning then we are driving 6 hours to DH's parent's house for a wedding this weekend.  We are excited to tell them about the baby.  We have been holding out because we wanted to tell them in person.  If everything goes well with the u/s tomorrow then we will tell my extended family at a BBQ on Sunday.

QOTW: I am not yet in maternity clothes, but I am hoping to take possession of the family maternity clothes box once I tell my cousin that I am pregnant on Sunday.  Good thing there are 3 of us all under 5'3"!

  • Happy Thursday!

Doing good - felt *a lot* of cramping, bloating, sweating and shortness of breath early on, now at week 5 and not feeling a whole lot - makes me nervous but I really should just enjoy feeling good, I hear weeks 6 and 7 start to get yucky! I have my first appointment tomorrow!! I can't wait to see if things are all good in there! :)

Last Saturday I had to go buy two new pairs of jeans - the muffin top situation was giving my secret away, and we are keeping mum - to EVERYONE - until 12 weeks exactly.  The initial bloating seems to have gone down, I am sure that has something to do with: progression of baby < bloat from beer. So now clothes are fitting a bit better. I can't wait to maternity shop and get a fun all-new wardrobe for a few months! I want to get the fancy maternity jeans and some good work separates because I refuse to look like I don't care! I want to strut my stuff! (ask me again next week when the morning sickness sets in! LOL)

Married since 2008 Me:36 DH: 35 TTC since August 2011. SA - "good" ultrasound - "excellent" Blood work - "good" Diagnosis: unexplained infertility Starting cycle 1 of clomid 3/27
  • Hi lovely ladies,

I am always thinking of you ladies on 3T and sending you all many hugs to everyone cycling.

I am 15 weeks today. I have began to feel the babies kick. It's still kinda crazy that I am in the 2nd tri already.

QOTW: I love my maternity clothes and when I am home I am able to fit in to my husbands basketball shorts. I knew I would be in maternity clothes early on since I am having twins.

  • Whoop Whoop! My first grad post!!! Hi ladies! I miss you all and think of you often. Well I had my second beta today and it was huge!!! 1642! That is a great sign, but sadly my progesterone took a nose dive so they called in suppositories.  I know this is fairly common so I'm no going to worry unless its still not any better next week when they check again.

Speaking of next week: I'll have my first u/s on Thursday May 30th! Can't freaking wait! And I also learned today that my RE's office keeps all their patients until either week 9 or 10 before releasing you to an OB. I think that is great because I'll get to see baby every week!

GTKY: I don't need maternity clothes yet obviously, but I am pretty bloated!  We are headed to the beach this weekend and my pooch is not too cute, so I went and bought a tankini that comes down far enough to hide everything. I am really looking forward to Fall maternity clothes! I'll probably be the type that buys things to accentuate the bump rather than hide it!

  • Hi ladies! I think of you guys often and lurk like crazy still!

We had our A/S today and found out that we are having a little boy! This was my first time crying too! DH asked me if they were happy tears and I said, "Of course they are!"

We have to wait until our next appt (in 2 weeks) for all the test results but everything looked good!

This is what we are sending out to our extended family and friends to annouce! Totally ripped off Pinterest! But I think it suits us so well, since DH is an avid golfer and I wanted him involved!

Hi ladies!! Chugging along here! Officially 14w today!

NT Scan results came back very good. We have a 1 in 7,777 chance of having a baby with downs. We have a 1 in 10,000 chance of having a baby with Trisomy 13 &18. Between this and all the genetic screenings we had with my RE, my doctors are not recommending any further testing at this time. H & and I are good with that.

Not much else going on - I have my monthly OB check up next Friday (May 31st). We find out two weeks from today what we're having - so excited to find out if we're team blue or pink!

Took my bump pics today, the first one, is with my pup. She wasn't really interested in letting me take my pic today. But I love her. She made me smile!

  • Hi Ladies!  24 weeks today.  Here is my picture from last week with my basketball belly!  So happy for the recent grads! As for maternity clothing, I lucked out.  My SIL lent me all her tops.  And I had an employee appreciation gift where I could select a $100 gift card from any store.  So I chose destination maternity and got 4 pairs of petite maternity jeans/pants for $96 and then added a box of nursing pads to get me over the $100 dollar mark for free shipping.  So I spent $2 for all that.  And I've found some great dresses at goodwill (not even maternity style but they do the job!)  And I picked up two pairs of capris at burlington coat factory.  I also stocked up on $4 tanks when Kohls had a huge deal in their junior department while I had a 30% off coupon.  I'm all set.

Had my repeat 2nd level US on Wednesday and I still have placenta previa.  So now that I'm 24 weeks, I'm on pelvic rest.  Not that it changes anything in the bedroom for me and hubby.  Between fatigue, back pain, and my "nest" (my collection of pillows in a complete circle around me so I can sleep), hubby wasn't getting much attention anyway.  But I still feel bad for him.  Plus side though, I get yet another US in a month on top of the extra US I get from the research study I signed up for.  Yipee!  Hope all you mommas have a safe, happy, and fun-filled long Memorial Day weekend and special thanks to any ladies out there who have served or have family members who have served!
