naproxen and breastfeeding

i have been prescribed naproxen 550 2xday for 6-8 weeks. ( I have chronic hip/back problems from my 2 pregnancies.) My dr says Naproxen is fine for breastfeeding. The ped says it can be a concern if it's taken long term.

I went back and asked my dr again and she still said it was fine. sigh.

i'm not sure who to believe. i'm not ready to stop breastfeeding but i have put off treating these issues for close to three years at this point. i'm thinking of taking it for 2 weeks to see if i get any relief and then stopping for now.

anyone have experience with taking naproxen while bfing? My LO is 7 months and eating 3 meals a day so he's not a newborn.
