Moms who wear glasses

Ugh, DD loves to flail her arms now, and her favorite thing is to knock the glasses off my face.  It's getting old realllly fast.

Re: Moms who wear glasses

  • DD has started to reach for mine too!  Be careful though, when DD1 was a baby she grabbed DH's glasses off his face and threw them on the floor and actually broke them!

  • I pretty much always hold DD on my hip facing outward, specifically to avoid this.  Plus it has always been her favorite way to be carried... guess she likes to look around.

Oh yes. I repeat "those are Mommy's glasses" a hundred times a day.

  • I might be getting PRK surgery in a couple weeks, which would fix this problem... but DD always grabs my glasses now, too!
  • I am so afraid DD is going to break mine so I m getting a back up pair next week.

  • Yep, he grabs them and puts them in his mouth. He broke DH's glasses two months ago. The frames snapped in half when he grabbed them. (DH had had the frames since high school).

    Oh no!  That stinks!

I've heard that even with Lasik or PRK, it's most likely I'll still need reading glasses when I get to "that age" but that sucks that you already need glasses only 6 years out.

Makes me question whether it's worth it... ?

  • Yep B started taking mine off at 5.5 mos...insane!! I switch between contacts and glasses...

  • Yep, my glasses have hit the floor a couple of times. I'm fully expecting them to break one of these days. I have a backup pair just in case.
