UO: Root beer is absolutely disgusting. This includes anything root beer flavored, too.
UO: I am not super concerned about pervs seeing my child's picture in my siggy. I obviously don't want it to happen, but I'm not hiding under a rock because of potential threats.
SA: One of my coworkers is that MIL, and I have the hardest time keeping my mouth shut when she goes on about not understanding why her DILs don't like her. Ugh!
SA: I have 5 days total of work left until I'm a SAHM. I feel like a kid with summer-itis. Come ON June!
SA: just because it's hot out does not mean you have to dress like a tramp. I am sick of seeing women's bits hanging out while walking down the street. If its an effort to put the outfit on it's too small, and if you bend over and feel a breeze up your back side it's too short.
UO: Root beer is absolutely disgusting. This includes anything root beer flavored, too.
This blows my mind, anything with the word beer in it is amazingly delicious.
SA: My cats are driving me nuts. I guess they are stressed because DD is now mobile and chasing them everywhere, but one is pissing on the floor instead of in her litter box, and the other one is eating everything in sight, including his own hair. He has bald patches from eating himself. When these cats go, I will never get another cat again... EVER.
SA: I need to start a new blog. My previous blog was about TTTC, and now I just post about DD and random stuff. I'd like this new blog to actually be a blog and not a diary.
SA: I work from home. Maybe some people would enjoy it if their employer didn't send them work even though they're getting paid... but DD is in daycare, and I actually like being busy, and right now I'm just sitting around thinking about starting new blogs.
UO: I think it's a really bad idea to let children play violent video game or watch violence on tv. I think violent video games are a bad idea in general, but letting your child/teenager play them is a terrible idea...

SA: I love having my independent child, but I hate chasing her around wherever we go! This child has no fear!
SA: I wish we owned a house I wish we had more space and a yard for Nat to run around in! We went to my friend's house yesterday where there was lots of space and a nice backyard and it just made me envious. *sigh*
UO: A friend of mine has a daughter who is four that has some serious possession issues. Whenever she's around and I'm playing with something with Nat, she comes up and grabs it out of my hands. I'm like, "Umm, you can ASK first! And I'm playing with it, you can have it when I'm done." But she still tries to take away 10x after. She's an only child, but I also wonder how much her parents work on sharing with her. It bugs me to no end because at 4 (almost 5), she should understand not taking toys away from others!
UO: mothers/fathers day is to celebrate your mother/father. Don't make me feel like a jerk by getting me a mother's day present even though I am not your mother (because the only person I bought a present for was my mother).

I also think it's a day to celebrate the mother/father of your child. That's why hubs gets me a gift, and why I get him one. Just a little something to show them that you appreciate them as the co-parent of your child. JMO, anyway.

I think Mothers/fathers day is to celebrate people who are Mothers/Fathers, not just your own. It can be anyone that you think is doing a great job as a parent or someone who is a parent figure to you. My grandmother and aunts send me Mother's Day cards and I try to remember to send one to them as well, although I forgot this year. People celebrate their grandparents on these holidays because they were influential in their parents lives which probably made them better parents. (Unless they all sucked as parents but that's another story.) I usually buy my Mom a Father's Day gift because she had to fill the role of two parents since my Dad passed at such a young age.
My SA is that I think I have had PPD since last Summer and have continually ignored it. I think I will discuss finding a counselor with my OB on Monday when I go in for my annual.
UO: After spending a majority of my days at home with DS, I can't see how homeschooling is a better alternative for schooling for a child. DS is only 15 months old and I feel like he is bored and needs a change of scenery by about noon on most days. I give serious credit to moms who can homeschool, but I am already looking forward to what public schools have to offer for DS.
I think the assigned gender stereotypes for are annoying. DS has a baby doll (dressed in white pajamas), I let him play with one of my old purses and he loves putting stuff in it. Today I went to Toys R Us to get him a playhouse for outside and the employee who showed me where they were in the store said "I don't think we have any for boys though, most of them have a kitchen inside and fake flowers planted along the bottom." WTF? This is the one he got, https://www.toysrus.com/buy/outdoor-play/outdoor-play-toys/playhouses/step2-neat-tidy-cottage-788700-3004159 I don't get why he felt like boys shouldn't be playing in a fake kitchen.
I agree with all of this. I will be purchasing a baby doll for Colton to help him transition to having a new baby in the house. If he likes it I will have no issues taking him in public with it, etc. I hate the "boy's don't/girls don't" thing. Colton aslo plays with my makeup every day. I have no issues with it (aside from having to scrub blush out of his hair...Why does he think I put makeup on the top of my head?).

That is pretty ridiculous. I think it's kind of sad how most boy toys can be gender neutral, but if it's kind of girly, then boys obviously shouldn't be using it! We have a lot of pink stuff (given to us for Nat) and I still intend on using them for the next kid, boy or girl!

Aria does the same thing... but I know it's because she thinks it's a hair brush. The girl LOVES to brush her hair (or any hair, really. Me, hubs, my sister... she's not picky), and will use anything that even remotely looks brush-ish.

SA...I hate steps, and am so glad I live in a house without steps. We're at my sister's and she has steps. First of all, that's the first darn thing Ian went for. So I had to teach him how to go down, up wasn't an issue. Second, I've been up and down the darn things a million times today and it's on my nerves!

I completely agree with this! Kevin got a kitchen for Christmas from my grandparents, we have yet to assemble it because there are so many smaller parts that we were waiting until he is closer to 2. I love the idea of him learning his way around the kitchen, flower beds, babies and what not...I mean really why not?! My stepmom thought that it was terrible that my grandparents bought him a kitchen, I was offended that she was offended haha! I have a BIL that is this way about my nephews and I find it totally ridiculous. I think the playhouse you got is awesome, I know Kevin would totally love something like that! I am sure your DS will too!

You would hate my house. It's 3 stories and on the first there's just a garage, laundry room, bathroom, and guest room. So you have to walk up an entire flight just to get to living/kitchen/dining. Another flight takes you to bedrooms. You can imagine how much of a PITA doing laundry is. 3rd to 1st and back.
I HATE rabbits right now! Sure, they are cute and furry.... but, this stinking rabbit has destroyed my rose bush, three small pine trees of mine and has left rabbit poop all over my yard. If I could, I would go outside and shoot every rabbit I could find. I secretly was happy when I saw it eating my neighbor's bush- hopefully it has found a new food source to munch on for a while.

And that's why I had BIL install a washer and dryer on the top floor with all the bedrooms! And you'd hate our house! We have lots of stairs and they are very steep. Dang old farm house stairs.

I agree with the gender role stuff-- kids should be able to play with whatever they want. BUT on that same note I do think that boys and girls tend to play differently and I don't think it's all society. Boys and girls are different and that's okay too.

We have a townhouse with minimal outdoor space and I was just thinking about the backyard yesterday! I let Nolan play with his water table and all he wanted to do was play with DH's grill things because our deck/patio isn't baby proofed. When DH came home I whined about our lack of outdoor space. I really want a house with a yard but we live in a HCOL area and a townhouse is all we can afford. Makes me sad!!!
