Speaking of birthday gifts, my mom wants to buy this for Jacks's birthday. Does anyone already have one? What do you think of it? Worth the $$?

I've heard really good things about them. I really want to get one for DD but not sure if DH will let me for the price. I was looking for coupons online but couldn't find any.

We have one. I bought it for DS for his first birthday. First of all, I wasn't prepared for it to basically be a couple of pieces of foam with a slip cover. I don't know what I was expecting, but that wasn't it. DS pretty much loved it from the get go. He liked to sit in it, but even better was that he could stand on the back of it and pull himself up on his windowsill. He only fell once. Then he didn't really have much interest in it and it became another bed for our cats. Just recently he's started using it again. He uses it to help him get things from places and he likes to tip it over backwards when he's in it. He was jumping on it today.

I totally want to get DD one too, but I know DH will give me crap since I don't think HE thinks DS uses it enough to justify the money. Boo.

Oh and as for coupons, I just got a 10% off one for DD's birthday. If you sign up for their birthday club, you may still be able to get one too.

We got one recently for DS birthday. They are pretty sturdy it seems even though its just 4 foam pieces held together by the cover. I got the plaid one with blue embroidery. I like it and can see him using it for a long time unless he finds a way to destroy it somehow.

We have had one for DS since he was 18 months. He loves it. It's "his" chair.

DD is getting one for her birthday. Since she loves to sit in chairs on the playground at daycare, and likes to perch on our stairs...I'm assuming she will love it too.

We have 3 - one for each boy and they are great. DS1 got his 1st bday and it's held up very well even with washing it every other week. He's a big kid and he still lounges in it. they love their chairs. Just make sure you get the regular sized one not the toddler one.

: I just ordered it yesterday. I'll post an update when I get it, if anyone's interested. I did an embarrassing amount of research on this and everything I have seen says that they were really comparable to the PBK chairs. My ILs gave us $75 for a chair for B and it felt somewhat wrong to go so over the budget for a child's chair.
We finally pulled the trigger yesterday after looking at the chairs at BBB. My daughter loved the Pikolino Little Reader Chair ($60)--to the point where she tantrumed when we put it back on the shelf, but I couldn't imagine it would fit most children beyond 2 or so. I can't wait for it to get here!

We got one for my first who is now 4 (she got it at around 1 year old), and now my little one who will be 1 in 2 weeks is fighting for that chair with my oldest lol. So now the little one will be getting her own on her birthday! They love them. At first my oldest didn't use it as much, but by the time she was 2 and 3 she really started liking it and uses it a lot. My LO sees her use it now and wants it, she loves to sit in it!

That being said, we also got their chairs from a seller on ebay who came highly recommended years ago. All they sell are inserts, and we saved a lot of money by going that route. We ordered the slipcover from Pottery Barn (we wanted them monogrammed), and they match perfectly with the inserts. In case anyone wanted to order from them, the seller is weststarimperial. We've ordered twice from them and it was perfect, so you save a bit! Here's a listing from them for the regular size chair:
