It's up!

woohoo! Yay! my tree is up and standing! yahoo!

I forget every year what a PITA it is to put these things up! Whoa!

I bought a new tree stand this year, and as much as I was hating it when I was trying to put each of the 8 screws into the stand- I love it!

See, Look-

See each one of those 8 screws goes in really hard! Luckily they give you a cool little handle thing to help get them in. Then I just put the tree into it and put the little screw caps in till they were just touching the tree trunk, stood it up and straightend and tightened! WOW!

I didn't even have a hard time getting it to stay standing up or anything! I am so excited!!!

Now, I just have to wait for the tree to thaw a bit so the branches will lay in their correct spots. It looks funny right now! It is still mostly frozen and the branches are all staying right up, hopefully they fall soon so I can get it positioned correctly and get the lights and decorations up on it!

    Good job!  I still have yet to get our tree.

    I bought a new tree stand last year.  It seriously saved our marriage.

    I have never been so excited about a tree stand! Since I always do this by myself- dh is ssoooo not into any type of decorating- it just made my whole life so much easier! Who would've thought?!

    Good Job!!! :)  Ours is fake, but DH Doesn't help at ALL with the decorating!

    You know Sara that is the funny thing here too! DH refuses to get a fake tree, bc he said that when he was young he was the one who always had to put it together and he hated it. Yeah, so ever since we've been together (over 7yrs now) it has always been my job to do the tree & decorating- so why does he still get a say on whether it is fake or not?

    I don't get that. A fake one would be so much easier on all of us.
