I mud not go out in public enough to get these great compliments. A lady with a leg amputation did a double check yesterday when she saw me as she was being wheeled by my big belly and today and old lady who I didn't even make eye contact with to begin with shouts out "you've been eatin too much girl" across the lobby in the clinic. Not to mention my mothers great comments and remarks to everyone but me: she's "verrrrry" pregnant" and "big as a house". I'm 31 weeks and measure at 30, not in any way "big as a house" and I feel very much that I am finally on target for gaining weight, I was losing weight in the beginning because of morning sickness. I think in total I've now gained 16 lbs...good lord people! Usually I just smile and brush it off be I must be hormonal today!

Someone shouting across the room is rude. I wouldn't worry about any of it though, if the doctor says you're fine then you're fine.

Correction- your not fat, you're pregnant. I hope you realize the huge difference there, and the fact that this shall pass...

I think it's 2 separate occurrences. However, the lady having one or two legs doesn't matter in my book. I'm not sure why that part was even included in the story.

A little boy waiting for the elevator said quietly "wow you're fat" to me. His mom didn't say anything but she did take him down the stairs. I know little kids say thing without knowing better, but crazy pregnancy hormones made me cry when I got to the car.

You're right. The one leg lady did a double take. An old lady shouted at her. I read it too fast. Now I can only think of Amy Poehler. "That's right. I'm hot and I'm rocking ONE leg..."

HAHAHA. Amy Poehler is immediately where I went on that too..."I'M EATIN CHICKEN NUGGETS BIT.CHES!!!!!"

My grandmother told me I was getting fat and I told her she was getting senile, lol.

You're not fat, you're pregnant. People should lay off. And even if you were fat, it's not like being fat is the end of the world. (Says the super content fat girl).
