Anybody have the Ouef Sparrow or Babyletto knockoff?

I've always wanted the Sparrow, but Babyletto now makes a knockoff.

The Sparrow is still prettier and looks nicer, but if anybody has the Babyletto knock-off do you love it? Anybody have the Sparrow and totally think it's worth the extra $$?

Thanks!

The crib and carseats were the things I spent the most money on. I think that the Sparrow is beautiful, and most likely lives up to its price tag.

Especially if you've always wanted it....I say go for it!

Eta: sorry...I didn't really answer your question...

  • I'm lurking but wanted to answer this.  I really wanted the babyletto but when I saw it in person it looked really cheap and the floor model was easily chipped and dented.  It's not real wood and it shows. Plus, the babyletto isnt inexpensive and I dont think it's worth it for the quality you get.  I would definitely splurge on the Ouef - Its beautiful!

  • I have a friend who had the Ouef Sparrow.  It seemed really sturdy.  I don't have the Babyletto knockoff, but I do have two Babyletto cribs (modo and mercer) and I feel like they are nice and sturdy.  I'm happy with them.  And I'll tell you what, if I had spent nearly $800 on a crib and my baby chewed the rails, like both of my kids have (I did eventually get rail covers), I would have been a very unhappy mother indeed.

Have you seen the ouef in person, I didn't think the quality lived up to the price! It might have been because I liked the gray one. In general I think it is way prettier then most cribs so I say get it.

I have seen it in person. I thought the quality was fine, similar to all other cribs I see. I like the wood choice and paint/stain choices as well. We're going with white, since we have gray walls in the nursery room and I'm too lazy to repaint.

I mean in the end you are paying for style. And the style is perfect, no doubt. I also wonder if its because I saw it at buy buy baby and they just didn't put it together nicely.

Yep, it's definitely one of those cribs where you pay more for the look. Love the look! ;)

Our BBB doesn't carry Ouef. :( Though I have no doubt they wouldn't put it together right. They currently have the carseat I want to put on display with a broken strap. I want to write the company and tell on them. I saw the Sparrow at a small organic eco-friendly baby store in Atlanta, definitely sturdy and put together well.
