February 2012 Moms

Anyone else?

So yesterday was the first time I'd ever been rejected by DD. When she came home from daycare, she didn't want anything to do with DH or me. I guess DH must have interrupted her fun time over there and she was pissed because she had to come home or something. lol She didn't want hugs, or for us to play with her... she was just miss independent. Ouch... mommy's feelings. hahaha Darn kids growing up so fast, just who do they think they are? ;)

  • Last night all Ian could say was Meme, Meme, Meme...that's my mom. He didn't want me, just my mom and she wasn't home from work yet and he was pissed. Thanks son, I love you too!

  • Connor did this last week. He was a little sick for about 2 days with a low grade fever. He threw up on me and then wanted nothing to do with me for two days. If DH was home, Connor wanted him. I was sad. You throw up on me and then I don't even get any hugs? Low blow kid :(

  • Yep! Our mornings have definitely changed.  When I have to go to work he is super cranky getting in the car and wants nothing to do with me until we get to IL's house.  Then he doesn't want to get out of the car and turns from FIL (who he normally loves) and wants to go to me and when I try to put him down he holds his feet up.  When DH is home, he's his BFF.  DS even runs to DH when he gets home.  When I get home he barely even acknowledges I am there.  It looks like we are all going through the same phase.

DD is definitely way more excited to see DH than she ever is to see me, but I attribute that to being because DD is with me a lot more. DH is great, and he's always around, but I'm the first person DD sees in the morning and the last one she sees at night, and I'm always there somewhere in between, so I'm just boring now. haha

lol, awww. I'm just waiting for the day that we go to pick up DD and she has a tantrum because she doesn't want to leave daycare. I know better than to take anything like that personally, but there's still that little part of me that hangs it's head and says "What??? I'm not the entire center of your little universe anymore??" lol
