OK. Once more into the fire.
1) At what age do you think is a good time for your kids' first Walt Disney World trip? 3 or 4 to get the full "magic" or older so they'd remember it?
2) Any good plans going on for Memorial Day?
3) Favorite "2nd level" holiday? (2nd level meaning not the "big 4" of Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and your birthday)
4 and 5 are you.

Being that we can't afford to go to Disney every couple of years, our plan is to go when our youngest is 4 or 5. That is the age that my sister went for the first time and she got completely sucked into the magic. I remember having breakfast with Minnie and she didn't eat because she couldn't stop smiling. Unfortunately, that will mean our oldest will be about 10 and the effect will be slightly lost on him...meeting characters won't mean much, but he'll get more out of the rides and will actually remember things.
2) Any good plans going on for Memorial Day?
Work. With the "greatest spectacle in racing" taking place in town, it is one of the busiest weekends of the year in my job. I may, or may not, have a cookout to go to at the in-laws on Monday.
3) Favorite "2nd level" holiday? (2nd level meaning not the "big 4" of Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and your birthday)
Most of the "2nd level" holidays (Labor Day, Memorial Day, New Years') come with extra work for me, so I'd probably go with a smaller one that doesn't come with a great deal of extra work.
4) Got baby giggles out of our 3 month old earlier this week. Awesome sound. Only thing that rivals it is the full out belly laugh my son does when I tickle him.
5) Pacers lost a heartbreaker to the Heat last night. After the high level of defense played all game long, to give up a gimme layup at the end is just frustrating. Hard to say the rest of the series will be this close because I doubt the league will let LeBron and Wade get so many fouls, but I can't see the "Birdman" going nuts from the field every game.
1) I would wait till at least 6 to go. Took my son at 3 and then at 5 and well he was miserable the whole time and it was god aweful hot and really not a good trip for any of us. Every kid is different though.
2) Any good plans going on for Memorial Day? Taking the wife to her family, I am not unexcited but I am neutral about it all of late.
3) My boss and I have an understanding, once a year I just call him and tell him I am not feeling work today so I take a mental health day and just do some execersize most of the day, jogging etc, on one of the local nature trails. Does that count?
4) I think it is funny how at my wife's OBGYN office all the midwives and doctors have totally different opnions about how things should be done with her birth. I already have had a talk with them and let them know to cut it out and come up with a single answer for my wife. She doesnt like uncertainty so that was making her tense.
5) Not much left, sorry.
1. I think 4-5 is a good age for Disney. I still remember our first trip to Disneyworld when I was 5 and I had a blast. Going on Space Mountain the first time was the catalyst for my love of coasters. I read a Disney travel book that said a poll was taken with kids that asked what their favorite part of their vacation was. Most of them said playing in the pool at their hotel.
2. I'm really looking forward to this 3 day weekend. I plan to play disc golf, drink, BBQ, and hang out with friends. Too bad the weather nose dived today so it's too cold to swim.
3. Halloween. My favorite holiday of the year. I love fall and decorating the house. Apple cider with donuts from the cider mill, going up north to see the leaves change.
4. Still trying to get past this sinus infection. It's been very stubborn and I still have a cough and some congestion. Sudafed has been my best friend.
5. We're at 24 weeks and I've felt the baby kick a couple times now. We are slowly creeping through this second trimester. It's hard to believe the third is only two weeks away. I still have a ton of stuff that needs to be done around the house.
I wanted to add one more...GO RED WINGS!!
I can't believe they are playing so well against the Blackhawks. I had no idea our young guys would come together and play as hard as they are in this series. Even if you're not a big hockey fan, trust me these games are fun to watch and it will be the last time you see these original six rivals in a Western Conference playoff game. The Wings are moving to the East next season.
1) I would say around 5 to 7 so they are big enough to ride most of the rides and enjoy all of the things to do.
2) Not really, most likely will cook some brats this weekend and listen to ZOSO, a Zeppellin tribute band.
3) I always love the 4th of July especially when I have fireworks to set off.
4) My LO is sick with a virus which is making us all slightly sleep deprived.
5) Took my LO to see Thomas last weekend and it was a partial bust. He loved seeing the train but didn't realize that he was riding on the train when we were doing it. Also, the price was higher then I liked for the distance and time we were on the train.
