Yesterday, I caught a reflection of myself in a window and told to DH "Hey you know, I really am starting to lose weight".

His response? "Ok"

WTH is that even supposed to mean? He finally admitted to not seeing it. Oh wow, thanks. (I'm sorry but that excuse is BS when you're talking about comparing what I look like at 9 months pg vs 1 month pp)

And then we picked up the girls at DC and one of DD2's teachers actually went "Wow! You really are losing that baby weight, aren't you". So at least I know I haven't been imagining things.

But yeah, thanks DH. Totally helped boost my self-esteem.

He should have just answered with "Yes, you definitely are" and he's an assshat for not doing so however, I think weight questions are really tricky for men. They don't know what they would do so they pick the safest answer or not answer at all.

I am not one to comment on my appearance a lot. I only made the comment because I really felt like there was a HUGE difference between now and a couple weeks ago. I just thought it would have been that obvious for him as well. And even if it wasn't, he still should have been able to come up with a more appropriate answer than "Ok".

Men can be such a total douche. I think you are beautiful and with tummy or not :-D I am sure he is just upset because he hasn't lost any baby weight lol jk ;-)
