SIL vent!

I just need to get this out so just bare with me.

SIL calls me with slurred speech and not making any sense.  I hang up because I want nothing to do with her.  She has a drug problem she could have killed my kids at one point. (long story).   Anyway she has been telling people since before Christmas that she has cancer. NO ONE believes her, not even her own brother. DH wants nothing to do with her either.  She had surgery back in Feb. on her thyroid and a gland.   

MIL called after I hung up to tell me she told her that SIL got her results from the surgery and the thyroid did not show cancer but the gland did.  I am sorry but  a doctor is not going to wait this long for results, a week a see but not 3 months. When my dads doc suspected he had throat cancer, he was in the hospital the same day for surgery in the morning, with results by that evening. (he did have cancer). 

At Easter she gave MIL a guilt trip saying no one is calling her to see how she was doing, or sending cards, or flowers.  I am sorry but who the hell cares! When I say no one believes her I mean the only person who does is MIL and well she is a special snowflake all her own. MIL spent $700+ on a airplane ticket to go "help" her be taken care of. MIL is not in good health and is forgoing her own meds to pay for the ticket. She can not even take care of herself let alone another person. 

I called DH to tell him that I hung up on her and if he wanted to call her that was up to him, I wouldn't care but I am not going to associate with her.  He isn't calling her.

Sorry  I just needed to vent to get it out before I unloaded on DH (which isn't fair to him).  If you made it this far thanks for reading.

    She sounds like a giant whackadoodle!
    4 years TTC including countless tests, 2 surgeries, and one failed IUI
    Scheduled IVF for April 2013--SURPRISE, don't need it! DD Born 9/7/13 
    Ectopic pregnancy Sep/Oct 2014 ended in surgery, and many trips to the ER
    Miracle #3: EDD 11/28/16

    I feel for you!! I had a crazy SIL for many years. She drove me absolutely insane. Hang in there!!

    My SIL is bat sh!t crazy too along with MIL so I truly feel our pain. It takes a very sad person to lie about cancer. I am sorry for the both of us buoy seem to deal with her like I do. I told H a few weeks before our most recent party I didn't invite my SIL and he couldn't care less. He is tired of her drama as well.

    Ugh! I am so sorry you are dealing with this. The fact that SIL is concerned "no one is sending cards of flowers" proves two things to me; 1: She is obviously lying. Having dealt with cancer with multiple family members, I can say without a doubt the LAST thing on your mind is whether someone send you a flippin card. And 2: She is lying and still attempting to manipulate because your MIL is obviously an enabler and panders to this behavior. I think you and your DH are doing the right thing by keeping yourselves and your children far, far away from her.
