Heart murmur

Got diagnosed today with a heart murmur. I was told in the past they thought I had a slight one but now with the excess blood flow it's much more apparent. Cardio work up scheduled for early next week. Anyone else in this situation? Is it something to be overly concerned about?

    I have a heart murmur that was detected a couple years ago they ran some tests and it was nothing just an irregular beat to my heart! I wouldn't worry untill they tell you it's something more then just a irregular beat.

    I've got a valve defect that causes my heart to actually "click", but it's not dangerous in any way, as far as I know. My OB asked me about it at my first appointment, but he hasn't mentioned it since. I hope everything turns out all right!

    So weird me too! I was born with a murmur but was told by a doctor 10 plus years ago that it was too small to cause worry and there was no need to list it on medical forms. Only certain doctors can even hear it. At my appt today my doc said it was much more obvious today and scheduled an echo for next week. I'm also having some shortness of breath. Doc is having me come in every 2 weeks now just to make sure all is fine. I'm 22 weeks btw. Here's to hoping its nothing major!

    I have a heart murmur and they told me its nothing to worry about. Years ago they even told me I had a small hole in my heart but I recently went to a cardiologist and they said my heart was find. It's always scary to hear something like that at first but the doctor said the heart murmur is common in athletic people and my heart sounds very strong. I'm sure your fine!! Don't stress!

    I also have a heart murmur and extremely low blood pressure. I've been on medication for it but it hadn't really helped. Glad to know I'm not the only one going through heart issues. But wish us all a safe and healthy rest of our pregnancies!
