Crawling?

Are any of your LO's crawling yet? Please tell me no; I'm in denial about babyproofing.

Lindy has recently started pushing up on all fours and rocking, which I'm taking as an indicator that I'll have to stop leaving scissors, screwdrivers, etc laying around.

Re: Crawling?

  • D is not crawling but we are having to baby proof because he does move a lot. He likes to lay on his back and use his feet to push himself backwards. Or during tummy time he uses his arms to push himself backwards.

    If he ever figures out how to put the feet and arm movements together I think we will be in trouble.

  • Just moving in circles on the play mat but no crawling.  I'm dreading baby-proofing. I also have a livingroom/ kitchen that is all open and my kitchen has slate floors that I'm worried will tear up LOs knees.  I dont know what to do about that yet.  Possibly find one huge gate.
  • G rotates a little bit but no crawling. I should probably baby proof soon too!

  • our baby is doing the same, we bought some baby proofing stuff, just for living room outlets and tv cabinet...

    Yup, but... we're pretty lax on baby proofing. We moved things we didn't want broken to higher shelves. Put some outlet covers around. And... that was about it.nbsp;

    Pretty much this. I do need to keep an eye on DD1s stuff since LO was eating an uncapped marker yesterday...oops.

    J is crawling like a mad man. And unfortunately he always seems to go after plastic bags, wires, things that are really dirty, and the dogs. So yeah... We need to baby proof a bit more.

    This. LO is not exactly crawling, but he can inchworm or army crawl himself across the room. His favorite things are plastic bags and electrical cords. I left him on the play mat while I did dishes, and when I came back to check on him, he was chewing on the prongs of an electrical cord. Bad mom. DH said, "Well, at least he didn't stick his tongue on it while it was plugged in."

    Haha, L has recently learned to inchworm, so this will definitely be something to look out for... I think I've got taking care of her mastered and she learns how to get into more mischief =).
