Re: **1st Tri Check In**
Sorry about my odd formatting! Will fix that for next week!
I have one last beta today and then we'll schedule my first ultrasound. I am hoping seeing a heartbeat will calm my nerves a bit. I've been sick with a cold all weekend so I've been having all kinds of irrational fears about the sickness harming the baby. Crazy pants, probably- but true.
QOTW: I told my mom already cause she knew we had done IVF, but no one else. I'm still working on how to spill the beans!
Good Morning! Can you please add me. EDD: 1/22/14
I go back to my OBs office on 5/31 just to meet with a nurse practitioner to go over medical history. They have already told me I will not have an u/s that day. So, I'm meeting with my OB again on June 5th for another u/s. Hopefully everything goes as planned. We've never made it to see a heartbeat, so needless to say I'm anxious already. I'll be around 7 weeks then.
As far as symptoms, I have few. My boobs are very sore and I'm sleeping very little. The lack of symptoms make me nervous something isn't right, but IF and PgAL are big mind games!
QOTW: The only people we have told are my parents. My mom has come with me to some of my RE appts and my parents were there for my surgery, so we felt comfortable telling them. My ILs will not know until we see the hb because my MIL has a huge mouth!. After that, we may tell some close friends and family. No special way planned.
I had my NT scan last week and I am waiting for the results and meeting with the MFM dr on June 6th. This will be my last week on 1st tri, I'll be in the 2nd tri on Thursday!
QOTW: Have you spilled the beans yet? Do you have any special way you plan on announcing?
We sent out pregnancy announcements and we announced on Facebook with our announcement picture on Mother's Day. It was nice!
Hi ladies!
I was officially released from my RE this past Friday. U/S that day was amazing! From one angle we could see baby swinging both arms in the air punching--looked like he/she was hitting a punching bag! It was so neat to see. First appt with OB this Fri. I think the secretary said we'd be meeting with the NP but I hope we get to meet the Dr too! Feeling uneasy since I'm so used to our RE who we love. Still battling the m/s although some days are worse than others. Still taking the Zofran here and there as needed.
Q: This has been a battle. Our parents have known since day one and we are having a Memorial Day party this Sun where we plan to tell our closest family. DH's mom is even flying up for it and my parents recently bought a house near us & are moving from FL this week so it should be a pretty special day. We had planned to tell our friends after that but unfortunately due to me being so sick we've had to cancel virtually every social event over the past month and a half so finally broke down on Fri and told them. Just warned them nothing on FB since the family doesn't know yet! FB is definitely making my life more challenging these days
I don't know how anyone with a social life who is battling m/s can keep this secret for 3 mos! Can't wait for everyone to finally know this weekend! Then I can stop having to come up with excuses
DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
Me (32): all clear
Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test
Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found
froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!

Hey ladies!
Not much new with me, next OB appt is 2 weeks out, we'll do the Mat21 test at that appt and then it's another 2 week wait for the results. Sooo much waiting!
I've still been heaving quite a bit (no nausea really and no barfing, just uncontrollable heaving all. day. long.) but this weekend I had a lot more energy than usual which of course got me worried. Stupid right?
QOTW: We've told almost everyone, except for extended family and my brother and his wife (they're fertiles so they don't really understand what we're going through). I think we'll start sharing with everyone after my 18 week loss milestone.
BFP#1 1/31/12, EDD 10/6/12 Harrison Gray born sleeping @ 18w6d. You changed our lives little guy.
BFP#2 EDD 10/29/13, C/P 2/25/13, Bye little Ish, we barely got to know you.
BFP#3 EDD 12/21/13, Baby Boots born 11/23/13 My rainbow baby!
January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
I'm still waiting to see the fetal pole and hear heartbeat. I'll be 6 weeks this Wednesday and have an ultrasound tomorrow and Thursday.
QOTD: it's still so early so I'm being guarded. But I've told my parents, siblings, and 2 best friends cause they all knew I was doing IVF. I don't think I'll tell anyone else until I'm through my first tri...this is a very lonely time, huh? You're hiding things so you decline lots if events...it sucks!
Also, I still have zero symptoms other than being tired..that kinda worries me.
Last week's U/S showed a nice gestational sac and a yolk sac. Hoping to see baby and heartbeat at this week's U/S on Wednesday.
QOTD: We have already told our parents and our close friends. They all knew we were going through IVF and when we would find out the results from it. We will prob wait until about the 12 weeks mark to tell extended family and friends.
Hi everyone!
I'm 10w4d, and I think I'm starting to feel a little better. I'm only taking the zofran as needed. I hope the trend continues.
I had a great MFM appointment last week (my first), and he was really encouraging. I also had my blood drawn this morning for the MaterniT21 test, so I'll be waiting anxiously for those results.
QOTW: We weren't going to tell anyone until after the first trimester, but we decided to tell my parents last weekend for Mother's Day. In-laws, other family, and close friends will find out after we get the MaterniT21 results back (assuming the results are good news), which will be close to the end of the first trimester. I'm glad my Mom and Dad know, but it really causes a lot of anxiety for me to tell people and have the news out there, so this is not something I'm really looking forward to.
3/22 ER: 25R, 20M, 15F. 9 genetically normal, and 3 survived to Day 5
3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!
Hey everyone! I've been MIA in limbo between my 6 week appt with the RE and 11 weeks at the OB. We were supposed to listen to the HB on the doppler at my appointment and after the doctor couldn't find it - she rushed us into an ultrasound room. Unfortunately, I'd just peed so she couldn't see much on the abdominal U/S (CUE FREAK OUT!) but she quickly did a transvaginal one and we saw our little guy kicking away and heard the heartbeat. It was pretty spectacular. I'm still feeling pretty sick and the throwing up started about 2 weeks ago. Hoping it will fade away soon.
QOTW: We've told our families and a few close friends. We'll tell the rest of our friends in the next week or so but no crazy announcement planned!
Can you add me? EDD is January 21st. I go for my third beta this Thursday and then an ultrasound the first week of June which feels so far away!!
QOTW: we told our parents and siblings and I told a few friends from work that knew we were doing IVF. It's hard not to tell everyone! But we are thinking about telling a few more close friends this weekend as long as Thursdays bloodwork looks good.
I have my N/T scan on Friday, can't wait to see our little "lucky"!
QOTW: We have told my mom, brother and SIL and my coworker who is due the same week as us. After the scan this Friday we are driving down to see DH's parents for a wedding and will tell them then and start to spread the news to other family and friends as long as the scan is ok.
My extended family is having a memorial day BBQ and I plan to tell them all the news then. I can't wait!

I go back to my RE tomorrow for another u/s. Last week I saw the sacs, hoping for a heartbeat tomorrow.
I've told two friends and my husband told his best friend his wife had horrible MS and I was experiencing MS and wanted some helpful "tricks". We're not going to tell anybody else until I make it out of the first trimester, I'm still really worried!!
