WWYD? TI after IUI

Hi ladies, I'm looking for some advice. I had my IUI this morning and feel really yucky right now. Cramping, bloating, even a bit of nausea when I move around. I know it's all just O pains, so I'm dealing with it.

My question is about doing the BD when you're not feeling so hot. The PA told me we can do TI tonight if we feel like it to get one more chance this cycle. Obviously I want the best chances we can possibly have, I feel so gross and a little sick... WWYD?

We didn't have sex after IUI #1 (with OB/GYN) because I was spotting up a storm and had quite a bit of cramping. Obviously that IUI was a bust. We did have sex after IUI #2 and #3, but neither of those cycles worked either (or at least I am assuming #3 is a BFN after a negative HPT at 14 DPO).

I would have sex if you can and if you can't, you can't. Personally I would try to have sex, but I've had sex lots of times when I wasn't really feeling it since we started TTC. I usually just tell DH that he needs to make it quick, not very sexy but I'll make it up to him some other time.

We didn't BD the night of the IUI because I was pretty sore from my RE moving the speculum around. We did BD the night after. GL!!

I have never had an IUI but I get sore after I get the trigger shot and feel like crap from fainting from it and sex is the last thing on my mind...but I just know I will regret waiting that one day so I did it. as PP said, if you will look back and regret it just try and suck it up and do it quickly hehe

My RE tells us to do it the night of the IUI and the next day. It feels like a chore to both of us, but we take one for the team

IUI #1 I was in too much pain and couldn't do it night of IUI, so we did it the next day. IUI 2 and 3 we did it night of. Its up to you. My RE said if you feel up to it, but IUI is the most important thing so if you can't no worries. wait until tomorrow if you aren't up for it. Good luck!

Thanks for the great advice ladies. Truth be told, I will probably make myself crazy if we don't. I will take some Tylenol and try to sexy myself up... Just wish I didn't feel like total crap!!

I haven't experienced an IUI yet, so I can't positively say...but I know when I'm not feeling great but need to BD, I get some pre-seed lube, do a few seconds of foreplay, and tell my husband to go for it (quickly). Not romantic, but it does the trick and I don't beat myself up for not giving it an extra chance at success. The pre-seed helps. Good luck!

We were told to do our "homework" that same day at night and then the next day (a.m. and p.m.). Do what you feel is comfortable. Everyone responds differently. Good luck! Rooting for you! Smile

I would maybe squirt on some lube and just get one more "deposit" in. But if you're feeling nauseous, don't feel like you're hurting your chances.

Hope you iui is a success! I was going to ask you about it earlier in the day and then drama on ttgp distracted me!

Thanks again for your advice ladies. We got the job done even though I feel pretty yucky. I'll be glad in a week from now knowing we did everything we could. I just wish my body didn't work against us so much... The cramping sucks ::mobile sad face::
