Who are you and what have you done with my baby?

Who are you and what have you done with my baby?

Anyone else's LO turn into a major cry baby??? Ohemgee!! Liam cries and cries and cries. He just wants to be held. Or to hold our hands and walk. My back can only take so much. Not to mention I'd like him to learn to play independently. Don't get me wrong, We play with him a lot. But it doesn't hurt to learn to play alone.

Anyway, coming to you from the land of screams...

  • Ugh...yes. Then I give him some good to make sure he's topped off and/or drugs and he's back to happy.
If this doesn't work, I hand him of to hubs as soon as he comes in the door.

  • Chloe would prefer for me to hold her through everything. Ideally, in her world, I would hold her and let her watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse forEVER. But I've been working on curbing that lately. I will hold her of course, we have our snuggle time, and our exploring time, and our rolling on the floor together time, and our reading time. But I am majorly encouraging the 'you play on the floor, mommy is right here, but you're okay to play by yourself.'

And that has actually really helped to increase her skills lately. In the last week shes gone from not being able to pull her knees under her to having her knees under her and rocking back and forth ready to crawl and also she held her own bottle for the first time today for a full bottle!

She still cries when I walk away though... like to the kitchen.... which is in the same room... and she will cry if I lay her down on the playmat after a nap but she really just wanted me to hold her and watch Mickey Mouse.

I'm doing tons of verbal reassuring which seems to help.

  • Same over here. He's also figured out the fake whimpering and crying too.
  • We go through phases over here - right now B is super content and happy which is so nice. I know a bad week or so must be on the horizon...

Hope it gets better for you!
